Mr Khan graduated from King’s College London in Medicine, alongside a 1st Class BSc in Sports and Exercise Physiology. He is dual fellowship trained in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, with training in Exeter, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, and further subspecialist experience in Europe and the USA.

He previously served as Clinical Lead for Trauma & Orthopaedics and Sports & Exercise Medicine at Homerton University Hospital and was part of the Knee Team supporting athletes during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He also contributed to the development of the Homerton Sports Injury Service at the Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre.

Mr Khan’s subspecialist interest is sports-related injury, with expertise in biological joint preservation surgery and joint preservation alternatives to arthroplasty. He performed the first arthroscopic meniscal transplant in North East London and Essex. He has a particular interest in martial arts injury management and return-to-sport pathways.

He is actively involved in postgraduate surgical education, including FRCS teaching, national and international courses, and peer review activity.
