About the Conference
The Martial Arts Sports Symposium UK launches with a free, one-day scientific meeting with a difference that will explore the injuries sustained during the practise of taekwondo from the beginner to the professional athlete, looking at all ages and discussing the treatment options, discussing the latest advancements, reviewing rehabilitation strategies and the observation of a live taekwondo training camp in action, led by professional athletes.
Bringing together an exclusive faculty, with expertise from across the fields of orthopaedics, spinal and neurosurgery, sports medicine and physiotherapy as well as professional GB athletes. The aim is to enable delegates to come away with a greater knowledge of taekwondo specific injuries from head to toe, conservative and surgical treatment options, tips and tricks, proven approaches to rehabilitation and the impact on the athlete.
The day will include presentations, panel discussions and debates, a keynote speech from a Team GB Olympic Medallist, World & European Champion and networking opportunities. In addition, delegates will have the unique opportunity to tour a taekwondo training camp that is running alongside the Symposium and witness firsthand the intensity and physicality of training at all levels and ages. For those brave enough, there will be the opportunity to try their hand (or leg) at taekwondo.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day with opportunities to network with peers, leader and industry suppliers.
